Scottish Ridge - Wax Melts

I got this as one of my monthly candles and at first I was pretty sad it wasn’t a Christmas themed one but once I smelled this one I was besotted, the sweet strawberry with the sage makes this a lovely candle to own! I almost didn’t want to burn it.

If I were to be slightly critical I’d say I really wish these candles were more affordable for people in the UK as I can’t continue to justify a candle every month for what works out at around £30+ 😩

So in jar, this candle smells amazing. It's sweet, without being cloying. If you like Trashy Romance Novel, you'll definitely like this one--it's on that end. Sadly, I'm hoping I just got a dud (or I need to get further into the jar) because there is no throw on the candle right now. This review is of our first burn, almost two hours in and I'm not getting anything unless I leave the room (pretty tiny room) to come back or move in a way that creates some wind. I'll update this review if anything changes, but for now it's a high three.

Scottish Ridge has a fresh, clean scent. The subtle sweetness of strawberry adds a romantic touch. Makes me think of Cathy & Heathcliff.

Natural with a touch of fruit that keeps it from being too musky. Perfectly balanced

When I opened the jar, the strawberry scent was strong. But when it burns, the scents blend beautifully. The sage is clean and uplifting. And it's a beautiful color.

One of my favorites! Just wish they had a bigger size!

The scent is strong and pleasant, fir, strawberry and sage. With strawberry the predominant attar.

Wasn't sure how the woodsy, fruity, and herbaceous scents would come together, but honestly, it's perfect. A lovely if unconventional holiday scent or the perfect aroma for spring.

True to it's name this candle smells like the hills of Scotland. As soon as you light it you can smell the Fir, strawberry and sage. A must have for any home.

This one is amazing. The strawberry is very strong when the candle is on lit, but the earthy scent of sage and moss come through when it’s burning to give it a sweet and woodsy scent. I cannot wait for this candle to be back so I can order more!

Love this smell! I was a bit skeptical when buying because my nose is a bit sensitive to smells and fake fruit never hits the mark, but this is just right! The strawberry smell is clean and subtle paired with the fir and the sage. Overall, a beautiful smell I burn regularly.

I bought this one on a whim and I'm SO glad that I did. It's quickly becoming one of my favorites from Frostbeard. The pine scent is strong, but mellowed out by the sweetness of the strawberry. The sage adds a little extra something. I burned this over the holidays and everyone stopped to take in the scent. Please make this one available all the time, or else I'll have to buy it in bulk during special releases!!

I buy from Frostbeard all the time and have always gotten great candles. This one wasn’t. The wick shortened and stopped burning on the second day, it had been off-center, and the scent wasn’t as strong as expected. It did smell good, it was just weak. I’m currently using a wax melt to get what I can put of it.

The strawberry is wonderful, not too sweet, and is only slightly stronger than the fir/sage scent. The two together feel like a fruit-filled forest. Highly recommend. I've tried a number of candles here; this is my favorite.

This is what I imagine Scotland smells like in the spring/summer (I've only been there in winter)! I love this candle so much. It's sweet but earthy, and a nice mellow color. Can't wait until this returns, please please please, it's perfect for Christmas and winter!
