The Archives - Wax Melts

Archives makes you feel like you are stepping down into a damp cellar to explore a long forgotten stash of history. It is much more fresh than I expected, but in a rain soaked earth way. I am not sure about the "tomes" component, since as an Archivist myself, I don't get the old paper smell I would have expected. Good scent nonetheless.

I loved this candle! This is my second purchase from Frostbeard and they’ve made a loyal customer out of my father and I. We’ve got them for our offices since we’re working from home and they’re a great way to cheer up the place. I wish this scent was alittle stronger but it’s good for just my own room.

This is a very hard scent to describe. If I didn’t have a reference as to what it is trying to depict I wouldn’t know how to begin to tell someone what it smells like. The scent is complex enough that I can’t identify any individual elements. That’s why I love Frostbeard, they are good at what they do.
I can see how it invokes the feeling of an ancient library dark and mysterious and maybe a little damp.

What I love about Frostbeard candles (unlike some other big name companies I could mention) their scents don’t smell fake. Even among other soy candles there is just something about their scent profiles that are right on point and complex and perfect :)

Has a bit of a smokey scent. Really like it.

My daughter loved her candle and the mug! She was so thrilled when she opened her present! While shipping cost were high, the smile on her face made up for that. Delivery also took some time to Canada but customer service was great and responded to all my emails. Thank you so much! The photo she sent entitled "My idea of Heaven!" Shows it all!

The Archives is a combination of stone, tomes, and antique wood. The scent is light, crisp, and woody, with just a pinch of sweetness. This candle is perfect if you want to curl up with a favorite book and enjoy a refreshing, low key scent and a cup of warm tea.

Love the scent of The Archives. Missed getting the candle as it was sold out but was lucky enough to get the melts. Will definitely purchase a candle the next time around!

Love the smell of these! I unfortunately was only able to get the melts as the candles were out of stock so ill be adding this to candles to look for in the future.

Not sure how to get “stone” in a candle but they did it! So elevated and atmospheric.

The scent is calming and reading in a centuries-old library. One of my favorites!

This is a lighter fragrance. Hard to describe. But I picture the Maesters Citadel when I smell this one.

Love the clean, earthy scent!

This type of scent is my favorite from Frostbeard. Old, dank/earthy, yet comforting. Reminds me of my favorite kinds of stories. Good choice for fans of the book cellar and old forest scents.

This was my first time buying this scent, it did not disappoint me. Archive earthy smell but I also think it has a clean and fresh smell too. Mine must be the very clean archives version. I prefer the earthy and woolly scents and I will buy this one again. I can say I have not been disappointed yet by any Frostbeard candles.

Perfectly captures the essence of aged papers and stones interiors. Definitely perfect if you are sick of summer and ready for (non obvious) fall vibes.

It is hard to say what this candle smells like, but it does remind me of old books! There is a subtle earthier element to this candle, and I would say it is also fairly mild.

Interesting scent!!

Another unique but pleasant scent from Frostbeard! The stone and tomes definitely come through but there's also an underlying fresh scent similar to the high storm candle. Throw is also pretty good considering it's rated as a mild scent.

I wasn’t sure if I was going to like this scent but I had to try it out. It’s not a strong scent but it’s definitely unique. Stones in an old cellar is accurate, as strange as that may sound.

This is a fantastic sent. Perfect for closing your bedroom door and curl up under the covers and reading my fantasy books.

This candle smells like clean paper and old wood. It's not a weak scent, but it isn't overpowering. Just right in my opinion, and lovely for a study.

The scent is accurate, very subtle stone, drafty hallways, bookshelves. Not quite sure I enjoy it, but it can definitely set a mood for imagining a medieval library

Not exactly what I would picture for a old library but smells fresh and cold like a well cleaned stone room. Pretty mild scent. I'd buy it again if it comes back.

This scent carries a very intriguing scent that makes you ponder life. Haha! But, really, it has a magical smell that is contemplative and is great for studying. I purchased the wax melts and melt and burn fantastically and last so long. What a fun scent.
